Buying Numbers
Purchase and provision phone numbers through the dashboard.
Buy a Number
Click Buy Number to open the provisioning wizard.
Step 1: Search

| Country | Select from 50+ countries (US, UK, India, etc.) |
| Type | Local, Toll-Free, or Mobile |
| Pattern | Optional — search for numbers containing specific digits |
Click Search to find available numbers.
Step 2: Select
Browse the results and select a number. Each listing shows:
- Full phone number
- Number type
- Monthly cost
Step 3: Configure
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Number | The number you selected (read-only) |
| Name | Give it a friendly label (e.g., "Support Line") |
| Agent | Assign an agent to handle inbound calls |
Step 4: Provisioning
The system automatically:
- Purchases the number from Plivo
- Creates SIP credentials for authentication
- Configures SIP trunks (inbound + outbound)
- Sets up LiveKit inbound and outbound trunk configs
Each step shows a status indicator (pending → done or error). If any step fails, you'll see the error message.
Manual Add
If you already own a number on Plivo, click Add Manually to link it:
- Select the country
- Enter the phone number
- Give it a name
- Assign an agent
Geo Permissions
Some countries require geo permissions to be enabled in your Plivo console before you can buy numbers or make outbound calls. Contact Plivo support if you see permission errors.
